Dow Jones futures creeping towards an effective opening above 45k

The Dow Jones futures just now hit a fresh session high, indicating a reopening for the index a little later this afternoon, at above 44,925. The current record high set yesterday was at 44,903 and the index closed last night at 44,860. Earlier today the index future was in the red, but not any more and since that rather benign set of US data was released a short while ago. So, as things stand right now, the Dow is potentially set to kick off the final session ahead of Thanksgiving, above 44,925. That means 45k must be in the crosshairs now today, but at the same time nothing is ever that certain in this game, especially with that US holiday and month-end fast looming now. The Dow Jones is currently priced to reopen around 44,930
