Dow Jones futures continue to point to a lower opening today

As covered here much earlier this morning, the Dow Jones was the only major US stock market index to close in the red last night. Of course the was all due to further tech gains underpinning the record closes in the Nasdaq 100 and the S+P 500 at the expense of the Dow. So, the Dow Jones closed 65 points lower, at 38,647, but that close was well above the earlier session low at 38,407. However, given the slide in the major European markets this morning, that has weighed on the outlook for the US opening and even the Nasdaq futures are moving lower right now. The S+P 500 is struggling a bit more now too and the Dow Jones is at risk of reopening below the low point seen yesterday (38,407), unless a rebound can kick in and those European bourses and they do not fall further. To be honest though and looking at the DAX and the CAC right now, that is not the case, as they are still dropping right now. The current indication on the Dow Jones future, is that it will reopen at around 38,430
