Following on from the previous update noting the release of the latest Eurozone GDP readings, those have now been released. The data actually beat forecasts, rising by 0.4% on the quarter and by 0.9% annualised. However, that has not lifted either the DAX or the CAC, so maybe it will not at all? We shall see on that, but right now both indexes are back on session lows. Elsewhere a little later on, at 10.30am GMT we get the latest Q3 earnings report from a major Dow Jones component. That is Caterpillar and they are ranked number 5 in the index by market cap (EPS expected at $5.34 on revenue of $16.08 billion). So, this earnings report could have an impact on the index shortly. Right now the Dow Jones futures are holding a very modest gain. The index closed 154 points lower last night, as the noted rotation into tech dented the price action on the Dow. The index closed at 42,233. The futures price is just now indicating a reopening at around 42,260, but that could change either way, depending on what Caterpillar has to reveal
