Dow Jones future edge lower

The Dow Jones futures are just now edging to European session lows. As covered here earlier today, the Dow was the standout overachiever amongst the major US stock indexes and posted its first daily close back above 39k (39,056) in over a month. That close was also above a technical reversal level at 39,019. However, despite that the index is priced to open lower this afternoon. Of course that might change over the next few hours, but right now the index future is under a degree of modest pressure, currently indicating a reopening at around 38,965. There is not much on the US economic release calendar again today, with only the usual weekly and continuing jobless claims to note, at 12.30pm GMT.
