Dow Jones does have a look above 45k for the first time ever as US PCE data looms
Well it did look rather magnetic ahead of the opening, but the Dow Jones has now traded above 45k for the first time ever. The move came after the index officially reopened today at 44,837, but as usual that was a book entry and not a tradable price. The price action elsewhere has been pretty frenetic in some instruments, especially the USD/JPY, which just took a dive below 151 and has since rebounded from just below that level. So, at 3pm GMT we get that October PCE data. That could throw up more of the same in terms of rapid fire price action. The Dow Jones has peaked so far at 45,003. It is just now trading at 44,925
