Dow Jones backs off in early trading
Following on from the previous update noting the higher opening for US stocks this afternoon, it seems there is a degree of rotation back into tech and out of cynical stocks. So, in effect in relative terms the Dow Jones is underperforming the Nasdaq 100, where it was significantly the other way around on Friday. That might swing back again, but for now it is the Dow that is edging backwards a little more. The index reopened officially today at 38,116 and reached a high so far in live trading at 38,191,. However, right now the index has slipped back towards the 38k level. It is still in the green for the time being though (close on Friday at 37,986), currently trading at 38,045
