Dollar index hits fresh session highs as Dow drops back below 38k
The Dow Jones did open higher today, at 38,075 and then lifted to a session high at 38,148. However, since the opening around 20 minutes ago the gains have dissipated and now the index has fallen back below 38k and towards 37,975. So as suspected, it did not take long before someone leant into the rally. At the same time the dollar has made progress versus all its major counterparts except the Yen. That has pushed the dollar index (USDX) closer towards the 106 handle again as the EUR/USD just now sets a session low at 1.0680
