Dollar gets clubbed again in Asian trading- USD/JPY falls below 147
Earlier this morning the dollar got hit across the board once again and that saw the USD/JPY fall to below its previous interim low at 147.15. It also broke below its noted 100 day moving average, at 146.90. The fall through both those levels extended to 146.67. The dollar had closed in the US last night at 147.48. The USD/JPY is off those lows now, but remains hostage to another wave of selling as the day unfolds. The mode looks much more biased towards selling rallies now, as has been the case all week so far. The further falls in US treasury yields that unfolded later yesterday is very much at the heart of this current dollar fallout. The USD/JPY is just now trading at 147.16
