Divergence greets US stock market opening- Nasdaq 100 weighed down by Tesla and NVIDIA

It has been a rather mixed opening for the US stock markets this afternoon. We had initial gains for the Dow Jones and the S+P 500 indexes, but not so for the Nasdaq 100. That is because of a leading analyst downgrade of Tesla, which has caused those shares to fall and that has impacted the Nasdaq 100, as has the share price of NVIDIA, which is falling again right now, by more than 3%. The Nasdaq 100 reopened today at 18,163, after closing last night at 18,219. It is now falling below 18,100 in early trading
