DAX waits on the German IFO index this morning

The UK and US markets might be closed today, but the major European markets are open as usual and the immediate focus amongst the European stock markets this morning could be the DAX and that is because at 8am GMT we will get the release of the latest German IFO business climate index. In fact, this is the only major release on the calendar today, due to those London and New York closures. On Friday the DAX was the only major European index to not end the final session of the week in the red, but only by a mere 2 points. The DAX closed on Friday at 18,693. The DAX futures are not much removed from that closing level right now this morning.
