DAX takes out 20,400

The DAX has not long ago lifted above a prior interim high at exactly 20,400. The index has just pushed towards 20,425 and that means it is now within 100 points of the record high it reached last year, at 20,522. The move higher in the DAX comes as the FTSE 100 continues to hold gains and the US futures press a little higher. The S+P 500 futures have just been buoyed by a Q4 earnings beat from BlackRock and the reader is reminded there are more of those to come from other leading financial names over the next two hours. The DAX has traded to a high at 20,480 so far in 2025 and it is just now trading at 20,418
