DAX still powering ahead as a new record close looms
It will not be long now until the European equity markets draw to a close. Just ahead of that close, the DAX has set a new all time record high this afternoon, at 22,877 and it is pretty close to that record right now. So, the earlier fall back today, to a low at 22,715 was reversed ahead of the US opening and the index is right now on course to set yet another record close. That might change in the next 15 minutes, but it will have to undergo a quite rapid slide, if the index was to fall below where it closed last night, at 22,798. The DAX is right now at 22,875
