DAX still grappling to reclaim 18,500
The reaction across the US markets to all that US data, released a short while ago has been dovish, but so far it has not really shifted the dial for the US stock opening that much. Yes, the dollar is a little lower, but not irreversibly so at this stage. Also stocks here in Europe seem pretty unfazed by all this, as indeed they should be, unless you want to make a song and dance about a 01% miss on core PCE prices? Anyway, the DAX has been struggling to sustainably hold itself above 18,500 all day and right now that remains the case ahead of the US opening. The DAX is just now trading at 18,490
