DAX so far rejecting a new all time high today

Yesterday the DAX set a new all time high, at 18,511.17. It later closed at 18,477.09. It reopened today at 18,477.40 and had every opportunity to set another record earlier on, when it rose to 18,510.20. However, so far a new all time high has proved elusive, but the pullback has been shallow. The low so far has been set at 18,468.87. There is of course still time today for the DAX to post another all time high and potentially a new all time daily, weekly and monthly close. By the looks of things right now, it will achieve that on a monthly basis anyway. That said, there is also room for a deeper pullback ahead of that monthly close, at 4.30pm GMT today. That is becuase the index will be closed tomorrow for the Good Friday holiday in Germany. The DAX is currently trading at 18,495
