DAX smarts at a rise above 20k this morning
Well, it is hardly the surprise of the morning, but the DAX has opened higher today and it has reclaimed the 20k handle. This was very much an expected move and well flagged by the price action in the DAX futures ahead of the opening. The high seen so far in early trading has been set at 20,019, but it has not stayed up there for very long. In fact, right now the index is stepping back quite sharply and just now fallen below 19,900. This reversal has probably taken a few short term bulls by surprise, but in truth we know this should not be a shock given all that has befallen the index over the past few months. The DAX is currently trading at 19,895
