The European stock markets have just this minute reopened for live trade and unsurprisingly it has been a higher start to the session. The CAC 40 has reclaimed levels above the 7,600 handle and the DAX has just had a look above 18,500. The price action is a little jittery on the opening, but that is pretty usual these days, especially for the DAX, where its numerical value makes 20-30 pips of little consequence in percentage terms. The DAX is just edging back from the opening highs though and the dollar is not yet much changed from where it has been trading for most of the morning so far. The DAX is currently trading at 18,450 and maybe this is just a gap-filling exercise to the high seen yesterday, at 18,420?
