DAX sets a record daily close at 17,046

Yesterday, as covered here, the DAX surged past its all time high, at 17,049. The index rose to a high at 17,089, before later dropping back close to the 17k handle ahead of the US opening. However, it was later led higher again into the close by the Dow Jones and the DAX later posted its highest ever daily close, at 17,046. Earlier today the DAX futures were pricing a reopening at above 17,125 and right now they are indicating that at around 17,100. So, as things currently stand we are looking at another record this morning and another record opening opening too. of course that outlook might change over the next hour, but as things stand right now, it looks more likely than not, that the index will set fresh records ahead of the weekend
