The DAX reached a new milestone yesterday when it lifted above 19k for the first time ever. The index reached a record high at 19,044 and later closed above 19k, at 19,002 with a gain of 290 points on the session. However, as mentioned in the previous two updates, the DAX is set to open modestly lower this morning. That lower opening might actually not count for much, because we have seen so many times, how easily it can rapidly reverse such opening calls. Once again the reader is reminded, that the index is up here not entirely on its own merits, but right now that does not seem to matter much, does it? The DAX is currently priced to reopen at around 18,925
