DAX sets a first ever daily close above 20k

Following a minor setback (on the Korean news), the push above 20k in the DAX yesterday was later endorsed by a rebound back above that level into the European close, where the index later ended the session above that level for the first time ever. Perhaps that was a defining day for the DAX? The index closed yesterday at 20,016, with a gain of 83 points on the session. The break above the noted technical level at 19,862 has paved the way for further upside ahead of the year end. There will be more to add on that later and it might surprise you, as much as it would me. Meantime, the DAX futures are pricing a slightly higher opening for later this morning, currently at around 20,040
