DAX set for a slightly lower opening today

The DAX managed to perform the best of all the major European indexes yesterday. That rebound later led to a 260 point gain for the German index. The index reached a high at 18,651, before later closing 1.42% higher, at 18,630. That compared to a rise of 0.97% for the CAC 40 and 0.83% for the FTSE 100. However, the DAX futures are lower this morning, as indeed are both the CAC and the FTSE. The index is right now priced to reopen at below 18,600 and given the performance in the Dow Jones last night and the fact that the US records in the Nasdaq 100 and S+P 500 was all about tech and not the broader markets, perhaps that makes sense? The DAX is currently priced to reopen at around 18,590 ahead of some German wholesale prices due out shortly, at 6am GMT
