DAX set for a potential opening below 19k this morning

Later yesterday evening the DAX futures were pricing a potential opening for today at close to 18,950. As already covered here today, yesterday the index got hammered. It closed 414 points lower, at 19,033. That close was below its 50 day moving average, in place then at 19,095. The prospect of that happening had been highlighted for days here and the warning signs were clear, with the volatile price action potentially indicating a major top was in place at 19,674. Well, not much has changed this morning and the prospect of a reopening below 19k is certainly live. At the same time, we know a huge amount of rotation out of the DAX and over to the US has been at the heart of the most recent falls. If that does run its course, then maybe the index will steady. However, right now that is quite a big maybe
