DAX set to open modestly higher this morning
The European stock markets will soon reopen for live trade and right now it looks like a mixed start to the final session of the week. Once again the DAX was the best performing major European index, when it gained 1.03% on the day. The index closed 188 points higher, at 18,518, but that close was still below the earlier session high at 18,595. The gains stateside have helped to keep the Dow Jones futures higher this morning and right now the index is shortly set to open modestly higher. Naturally, a move above 18,595 if seen could extend and a drop below 18,380 could do the same in the opposite direction. All to be revealed as the day unfolds. The DAX is just now priced to reopen around 18,540
