DAX set for a lower opening today
Yesterday the DAX could not set any new records. The index peaked at 17,756. That high was set not long after the opening, at 17,743. The drop back saw the index base out later in the day at 17,684, before later closing just 18 points lower, at 17,716. The lower closes in the US last night and losses in Hong Kong sent the DAX futures back down again. So right now a lower opening for the index is being priced and right now that is below 17,650. The lower US futures right now is adding to that modest downside pressure. There will be more to add when live trading resumes
