DAX set for a higher opening this morning

Yesterday the European stock markets all enjoyed a solid day. It was a sea of green across all the markets. As far as the major indexes were concerned, it was the DAX that led the gains. The index gained 0.93% on the session, compared to a rise of 0.87% for the CAC 40 and just 0.18% for the FTSE 100. The FTSE 100 seemed held back by the oil price and perhaps a degree of UK election uncertainty? The record gains stateside last night for the Nasdaq 100 and the S+P 500 indexes has buoyed the opening outlook for the European markets this morning and right now the DAX is set to open higher. The current opening call is for the DAX to reopen at around 18,630, where the index closed last night at 18,575.
