DAX rises above interim highs on opening

The European stock markets have just now reopened for live trading and it has been a better start than was earlier priced into the major indexes. The DAX has just lifted sharply above the earlier noted interim high, at 15,952. There is no specific news for the shunt higher, but the gains are not unique to the DAX, because the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 are both making progress too. The index has just now lifted above 15,960, but it remains to be seen, if this will be sustained as the session unfolds. In fact the DAX is just now backing off from those opening highs, currently trading at around 15,940
