The fall in the CAC 40 futures this morning is weighing on the DAX futures too. Yesterday the German index did close higher, but it clearly played second fiddle to the CAC 40 and it also rejected a rise above 18k, despite trying to rise above that level. The high seen was set at 17,998 and the index later closed at 17,987, with a rise of 54 points on the session. The DAX futures were earlier pricing a reopening above 18k this morning, but right now with just a couple of minutes to go before live trading resumes, it is priced below that level shortly. The reader is also reminded of the intraday double top that remains in place, at 18,038 and 18,039, even if the index does reclaim that 18k level this morning
