Yesterday, as covered here in a number of updates, the opening high for the DAX, at 23,204 was never seen again for the rest of the session and the direction from there was all southbound. The index fell back to 22,826 and later closed barely above that low, at 22,839. That 1.17% fall ensured the DAX was the worst performing major European index yesterday. The FTSE 100 was the best and actually managed to close 0.30% higher. The obvious reason for that was all about the combination of German tech stocks and car manufacturers getting hit hard. The DAX futures are in the red since that close yesterday and have priced the opening to as low as 22,630. In fact the opening call is not that much higher just now. There will be plenty more to add on this index today for sure. The DAX is right now priced to reopen around 22,660
