DAX priced to reopen above 21k this morning as German ZEW looms

Yesterday the DAX did make it above 21k. That prospect was highlighted here ahead of the further push higher. The DAX later peaked at 21,048, but it was unable to hold all that gain into the close. The DAX later ended the session at 20,954. Nevertheless, that was still a very solid gain of 580 points on the day and it ensured the DAX was the best performing major European index by the close. This morning the DAX futures are pushing back above 21k in terms of the opening call. That might change in the next 30 minutes, but right now the vista looks pretty positive this morning. A little later this morning we get the latest German ZEW economic sentiment index and that could have an impact at 9am GMT, once live trading is fully underway. The DAX is right now priced to reopen around 21,020
