The European stock markets have just opened and it has been a very mixed start to the day. The FTSE 100 and CAC 40 indexes are lower. The CAC is being forced lower by opening losses in the French Luxury sector once again- see the share price of Hermes this morning. Meantime, over in Frankfurt the DAX has risen above 21,400 on the opening and that is all due to a massive beat on earnings from Siemens Energy and that led to double digits gains for the stock on the opening. So, we have a really stark contrast in place between the major indexes this morning. That all said the DAX is just paring its opening gains right now, but remains above the previously noted 100 day moving average level. The DAX is right now at 21,355
