DAX opens modestly higher
The noted rebound in the FTSE 100 futures this morning has floated all boats it seems. The US futures have now pared back earlier downside and so have the other European stock markets. The DAX closed yesterday at 15,664, with a loss of 62 points on the day. It has just this minute reopened and that has seen it lift back around 15,700. Earlier the DAX futures were pricing a slightly lower opening, at something below 15,650. There is likely to be some price action today though, as all the markets jostle for position ahead of the Fed policy decision this evening. Perhaps we should also remember; that beyond whatever the Fed delivers this evening, the month and quarter end are fast approaching next week. The DAX is just now trading at 15,700
