DAX opens lower this morning

The European stock markets have just reopened and it has been a mostly lower start to the day. As noted here earlier, the one exception to that amongst the major European bourses has been the FTSE 100. So, if you look at all the  indexes on your screen now, you will see the FTSE 100 being the clear outlier in early trading, as was alerted here earlier before the opening. The Pound is now lower across the board and that (and the prospect of a BOE cut) perpetuating that FTSE outperformance in early trading. Meantime, the CAC 40 is lower and not yet rebounding much from the opening lows. It is the same story for the DAX too. The index has not threatened the 19k handle yet, but given the backdrop out there right now, it would be wrong to preclude the prospect of it doing so at some point in the very near future. The DAX closed yesterday at 19,164 with a loss of 48 points on the day. It is just now trading at 19,070
