DAX opens lower this morning
On Friday the rebound in the European stock markets saw the DAX come within striking distance of a new all time high. In the event that did not evolve, as the index topped out at 16,967 and later closed the week at 16,961. Hence, the current record, at 17,003 remains in place for the time being. The index has just reopened this morning and it has been a lower start to the day. The month end is looming of course too and that might have an impact as the session unfolds today. We shall see on that. The DAX has just this minute reopened at around 16,920
