The European stock markets have been opening for around 25 minutes now and the major indexes all opened a little lower today. Very early attempts to rebound have so far not been successful and the likes of the FTSE 100 and the DAX are now hitting session lows. The FTSE 100 has failed to garner any traction from a rise of more than 5% in the Barclays share price following their full 2023 results released earlier. The DAX opened this morning at 17,066 after closing yesterday at 17,092. The earlier attempt to reclaim that closing level have not materialised and now the index is tracking back towards 17k. The risk of the index now falling below 17k this morning would appear to be elevated right now. The DAX is currently trading at 17,027
