DAX opens higher as German PMI awaits and US futures advance

The DAX has just reopened for the final live trading session of the week and despite the technically negative close yesterday, it has been a higher opening for the German benchmark index today. The French and German PMI data is due out shortly, starting with France, at 8.15am and then Germany at 8.30am GMT. Depending on what emerges there, that could help shape the price action this morning and ahead of what is a quadruple witching day for the markets today. There will be more to add on that a little later this morning. Meantime, the DAX has just resumed live trading at above 16,800, as the Dow Jones futures continue to make progress, now indicating a resumption of live trading at above 37,350
