The higher opening across the European stock markets this morning is being led by the FTSE 100, but both the DAX and the CAC have kicked off on the front foot too. The DAX closed yesterday in the red, handing back 25 points, closing at 18,716. In fact it was the only major European index to post a lower close yesterday, but it has opened higher today, rising above 18,770 on the opening bell. The current 2024 and all time record high is of course not far off now, at 18,845, but it remains to be seen, if there is enough momentum right now to challenge that record high. The weaker dollar dynamic is also an integral driver behind the higher European opening this morning. The DAX is currently trading at 18,778
