DAX not setting a new records yet today
Earlier today the DAX did open lower. The index had closed on Friday at 17,419. That was of course a record close for the index. It reopened today at 17,396 and so far it has not managed to get above the record it set on Friday, at 17,443. The lack of further traction, whilst perfectly understandable, comes as the FTSE 100 slips and the US futures are not yet making any progress. However, it would be wrong to assume the DAX has topped out on the day at 17,437, but mindful of the prospect at the same time. The index is just now trading at 17,415
