DAX off the lows but the outlook is very uncertain

The DAX reopened earlier this morning at 21,842 which was quite some way above the earlier Asian session indications on that, but way below where it had closed yesterday, at 22,390. The low seen in live trade after the opening was set at 21,809. It has since rebounded and reclaimed levels above 22k. That bounce is rather at odds with the lack of any significant rebound across the US futures since the European opening. The outlook for both regions remains very uncertain and as such it is hard to see anything other than sellers on rallies at the moment. Of course there will be rebounds and bounces, but the markets are not looking like they can even begin to brush all this tariff news aside. Price action remains extremely fluid and volatile. The DAX is right now trading at 22,055
