DAX lifts above 18,600
The gains in the European stock markets this morning are now extending for the DAX and the CAC 40. The FTSE 100 has relinquished first place now and the CAC 40 is actually leading the way in terms of the other two indexes. However, the DAX has now lifted above 18,600. The index closed last night at 18,534 and officially reopened at the same level, but in reality it was higher than that. The gains in the DAX come as the dollar slips back further and the Dow Jones futures advance further into the green, now indicating a reopening at, or above 39,825. The DAX is just now hovering around that 18,600 handle
