DAX hits session highs above 17k as Nasdaq 100 eyes 18k

The US stock markets have been open for just over an hour now and in that time all three major indexes are holding modest gains. The Nasdaq 100 and S+P 500 are close to the record highs they set last week and the Dow Jones is currently in the black too. At the same the DAX is making further progress above 17k this afternoon and it could be in the process of setting a new all time high too. We shall have to see on that. Of course with the Nasdaq 100 now very close to the current record at 17,989, I repeat what I said here earlier today about the 18k level being very much on the radar today
