DAX helped by Dow Jones for another look at 17k

Since dropping back earlier today to a low at 16,871, the DAX has been on the rebound for the past couple of hours. Now the index has just had another look at the 17k level. The rebound has clearly been boosted by opening gains in the Dow Jones this afternoon. So, the question now; is can the DAX forge its way to its first ever close (on any basis) above 17k this afternoon? Well, right now that looks a lot more possible than it did 4-5 hours ago, but at the same time, it is by no means guaranteed. The index is just now trading at 16,985
