DAX has a look below 18,500 as markets remain on edge ahead of US jobs report

As early US participants return to the markets today, the dollar is still not making any headway and the US equity futures are in a similar position,. Gold has now extended its fall from the overnight top, to the current bottom (around $2,333.75) of more than $50. The oil price is close to session highs and the markets are actually quite jittery. So, we are going to get some moves this afternoon for sure, but much will depend on what the US jobs report has to deliver. The European equity markets are still under the hammer and the DAX has now traded below 18,500, after rejecting a move above its 21 day moving average (now at 18,656). The earlier high today was set at 18,649. That 21 day moving average is now turning lower too and that might be a warning sign for the index in the days to come. The DAX is just now trading at 18,495
