DAX futures surge ahead of the opening this morning
The charge higher in the US stock markets into the close last night and later further gains across the futures following the Q1 results from Meta and Microsoft have helped to lift the European opening outlook. The DAX had already reversed a fall to 22,235, when it later closed 71 points higher yesterday, at 22,496. The charge higher in the futures price overnight has seen the opening called as high as 22,750 this morning. It is not much below that right now and the index is on track for a sharply higher opening this morning, currently at around 22,725
