Yesterday the European stock markets all closed lower. The US markets were closed and it seems likely had that not been the case, they would have followed suit. The worst performing European index was the CAC 40, with a 0.79% loss. The DAX fell by 0.49% and the FTSE 100 closed 0.39% lower. The falls in Asia today have pushed all three futures prices lower ahead of the opening this morning and right now the DAX is set to open lower. The index closed at 16,622, with a loss of 82 points yesterday and right now it is priced to reopen below 16,550. The low seen so far in 2024 was set on January 5, at 16,448. So, as you can see, that level is potentially on the radar today. We shall see on that, but unless something positive happens in the next 90 minutes, it is going to be a lower start for the DAX this morning
