DAX futures on the rebound this morning

The DAX was the worst performing major European stock market index on Friday. The close at 18,301 was some way adrift of the record high it had set earlier in the week(Tuesday), when it topped out at 18,990. Readers were warned though, after the index had set in place a massive outside day reversal by the close that same day.  In fact all week long, question marks  were raised here about the index rising to a new record, at the same time as the German economy is still floundering. Perhaps the crisis at VW was the news that helped to tip the index lower?  The low seen on Friday was set at 18,274. Earlier today the DAX was priced to open lower, at around 18,200, but that is not the case now, after the Nikkei 225 rebounded, taking the US and European futures higher with it. So, right now the DAX is priced to reopen higher this morning, currently at around 18,370
