DAX futures on the rebound just now but will it last?

Yesterday the DAX was the worst performing major European stock market index. As noted here later yesterday, part of that was due to heavy losses seen in the German car giant, BMW. The stock later closed down by more than 10%. The comments here regarding the woes there and with VW remain unchanged and continue to be a concern for the German economy beyond any immediate price action in the DAX. So, the DAX, which had earlier topped out at 18,490, fell back to a session low at 18,233, before later closing 177 points lower, at 18,265. Overnight the DAX futures were implying another lower opening this morning, to around 18,185, but in more recent trading the opening outlook has now turned positive. However, it remains to be seen, if that will hold when live trading resumes in around 40 minutes. The index is currently priced to reopen at around 18,320
