DAX futures point to a record opening above 18k today

Yesterday the DAX was the best performing major European stock market index. It beat the 1.04% rise in the FTSE 100 and the 0.84% gain in the CAC 40. That said the CAC did set a new all time record high yesterday, at 8,094 and it is set to open today above 8,100 for the first time ever, However, in pure percentage terms, it was the DAX that performed best of all yesterday, with a rise of 1.23% on the session. The index also rose to a new all time record high at 17,973 and later closed at 17,965 and right now the DAX futures are pricing the reopening at above 18k this morning. The prospect of a record opening above 18k this morning is not to be sniffed at, but as to whether that happens remains to be seen shortly. Technically, even at these current record levels, the RSI is not critically over-stretched by any means either. So, it looks like we are heading into uncharted territory once again folks. The DAX is right now priced to reopen at around 18,010
