DAX futures lower this morning as German unemployment data looms

Yesterday the DAX was the worst performing major European stock market index. The DAX closed 0.70% lower, where it was a 0.51% decline for the CAC 40 and 0.27% for the FTSE 100. The DAX closed 160 points lower, at 22,678 and as you can see, if you look at a chart of the price action yesterday, each rally was met with sellers. Of course that ensured a lower close on the day. The index is priced to open lower this morning, but that might change of course. After that opening, at 8.55am GMT we get some quite important German data. That is the latest unemployment report and it could have an impact, depending on what emerges. There will be more to add on that later. So, meantime the opening outlook is not too positive just now. The DAX is currently priced to reopen around 19,575
