The DAX did not really buy into the gains seen in early US equity trading and stalled just above 21,500. Nevertheless, it was still another positive session for the DAX, building modestly on the close seen on Monday, where the index closed at 21,428. The DAX reached 21,518 yesterday and later closed 77 points higher, at 21,505. The index is still clearly not taking many chances, with the prospect of punitive US trade tariffs very much lurking in the background. The fall across the US futures this morning has added some pressure on the opening outlook for the DAX. The index is right now priced to reopen closer to 21,400, currently around 21,420
