DAX futures higher this morning following record monthly close
Yesterday the DAX was once again the star performer amongst the major European stock market indexes. The DAX posted a new all time record high at 17,742, as was noted here at the time. However, it could not quite hold all that into the monthly close, but it still set a record monthly close later on, ending the day 76 points higher, at 17,678. This morning the DAX futures are indicating a new record when live trading resumes and that has been helped by the record monthly closes in the US last night and further gains in Asia today. The DAX is right now priced to kick off the new month very much on the front foot. The index is right now poised to reopen at around 17,790
