DAX futures higher this morning following record close yesterday
As noted here around the time of the European close yesterday, it was another record close for the DAX. This time is was also the first daily close ever above 21k. The DAX closed 51 points higher, at 21,042. The best performing major European index was actually the CAC 40, which put on 0.48%. The FTSE 100 gained 0.33% and DAX gained 0.25%. So, despite that record close it was actually the worst performing index in percentage terms on the day. However, the DAX futures are higher this morning and leading the gains across the European futures right now too. The index is currently set to reopen around 21,150, but it has priced that opening higher earlier. There will be more to follow when live European trading resumes
